Efficient Uptake of Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme II Inhibitor Employing Graphene Oxide-Based Magnetic Nanoadsorbents

This paper reports a high efficiency uptake of captopril (CPT), employing magnetic graphene oxide (MGO) as the adsorbent. The (GO) was produced through an oxidation and exfoliation method, magnetization technique by co-precipitation method. nanomaterials were characterized FTIR, XRD, SEM, Raman, VSM analysis. optimal condition reached GO·Fe3O4 at pH 3.0 (50 mg adsorbent 50 L?1 CPT), presenting values removal percentage maximum adsorption capacity 99.43% 100.41 g?1, respectively. CPT dependent on dosage, initial concentration adsorbate, pH, ionic strength. Sips Elovich models showed best adjustment for experimental data, suggesting that occurs in heterogeneous surface. Thermodynamic parameters reveal favorable, exothermic, involving chemisorption process. carbon nanomaterial exhibited after five adsorption/desorption cycles. Finally, excellent performance removal, allowing future application waste management.
